Education forms the foundation of personal and professional development. It enables individuals to become more active members of society and better prepared to contribute to social and economic progress. The European Union (EU) and Serbia closely cooperate on the modernization and reform of the education sector in Serbia, and this project is part of that joint effort. It is considered complementary to the Sector Reform Agreement with the Republic of Serbia, valued at €28.5 million, covering the period 2024–2026.
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to broad, long-term changes in the political, social, economic, and environmental context of Serbia by supporting the Government of the Republic of Serbia in implementing educational reforms, in line with national strategic documents and international obligations.
The specific objective of the project is to strengthen institutional and human capacities in the education sector to ensure timely, efficient, and effective coordination and implementation of the reform processes.
